Delta has been a huge hit on the App Store since it came out earlier this week. It already looks cool, but you can make it even cooler by adding custom themes. They can make it feel just like the Game Boy you used to play with when you were a kid.
For instance, I found this amazing theme that makes it look like your iPhone has the see-through plastic style of the Glacier GameBoy Advance. It’s so cool! And guess what? There’s even a pink version available!
What is Delta Game Emulator:
Delta is a cool game emulator made by Riley Testut. If you’re not sure what an emulator is, it’s like a magic trick that makes your device act like a different gaming system. With Delta, you can play games from lots of different consoles because it has special tools for each one. It might sound tricky, but you don’t have to understand all the technical stuff.
Let’s say you want to play an old NES game. Just put the game file into Delta, start the game, and boom! You’re playing. It’s super easy. Right now, Delta can handle games from these systems:
- Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
- Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)
- Nintendo 64 (N64)
- Game Boy / Game Boy Color (GBC)
- Game Boy Advance (GBA)
- Nintendo DS (DS)
How to get skins for Delta Emulator:
- Start on your phone. It’s easier to do everything directly on your iOS device, although you can transfer files from a computer later if needed.
- Create a new folder on your phone called ‘Delta Skins.’ This will help keep everything organized.
- Visit websites like Skins4Delta, Delta Skins, or Lit Skins to browse community-made themes. Skins4Delta and Delta Skins have more options, but Lit Skins has some cool designs too. These sites offer most of the available options.
- Download the skins you like and move them into the ‘Delta Skins’ folder you created earlier for easy access.
- Open the Delta app and go to the settings section. Choose the console you want to customize from the list.
- Tap the plus icon in the top right corner to add skins. Select the skins you downloaded from your ‘Delta Skins’ folder.
- Once uploaded to Delta, you can choose which skin you want to use. It will apply the next time you open a game in that console’s environment.
- Keep in mind that most skins come in vertical and horizontal versions. For example, if you download a clear pink skin, you only need to load it into Delta once, and it will automatically upload both vertical and horizontal versions. However, you need to select the vertical and horizontal skins separately.
